I asked a seasoned painter a question one time.
"How do you keep your oil paints wet when you aren't painting?"
He said,
"You don't. You paint everyday. There is no paint to keep."
That was a lesson for me to learn.
An amature painter stops and comes back when she feels like it.
A professional painter paints as if it was her flesh and bone on fire.
I decide that I am the latter.
So I paint in oil paints. Oil is the fuel to keep my fire going.
Painting is the passion burning in my flesh and bone.
