Collection: Salt of Summer 2023

These window frame moments suspended in time- the sea’s summer color so bright and the Sun still so high outside the window and yet the inner landscape has shifted to the quietness of the fading season. With loose but calculated brushstrokes, Emiko depicts the season’s and our life’s intersection of memory and time.

As the season fades, so too do the memories that once seemed so vivid. The oil medium allows Emiko to capture the gradual transformation of memories by exploring the delicate balance between preservation and transformation. Her collection depicts the inevitable fading of recollections as they meld with the passage of time.
